We are working with an education provider in the Merseyside area who are looking for a Welding & Fabrication Trainer/Assessor to join their team.
The role is a permanent full-time role, comprising of 38.75 hours per week (8:00am until 4:30pm, with a 3:15pm finish on Fridays) and you would be based at the education provider's centre in the Merseyside area, where you would be asked to deliver commercial short courses and bespoke training to Welding & Fabrication learners.
As these are commercial courses, they are not Ofsted governed, which allows a freer approach to the training delivery. You will have two groups of learners aged 16-18, and some groups of slightly older learners.
The starting salary for this position is between 31,000 and 33,000 per annum, and the client would be willing to put you through pay for a teaching qualification if you do not have one already. The package also includes a pension, a health/life plan, fees for the Mersey tunnel, and 30 days paid holiday (plus statutory holidays such as Bank Holidays).
To be eligible for the position, you MUST have:
-A qualification or codings (expired codings also considered) in Welding or Fabrication
-Good industrial experience of Welding & Fabrication
Please note that the education provider can consider skilled industry candidates who are looking to move into training, and would be able to assist them with achieving their teaching/assessment qualifications on the job.
