Health & Safety - Wirral

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to promote a safe working environment for our client at their head office in the Wirral area. The successful candidate will act as a trusted H&S advisor to the client, conducting robust inspections across all estates and facilities and adopting a culture for learning through corrective action planning.

Responsibilities:

To advise on all aspects of health, safety and wellbeing issues as they pertain to all operations.

  • To encourage and implement the continual development and improvement of a pro-active health and safety culture.
  • Develop, promote, monitor and review health and safety policies, procedures and safe systems.
  • To develop and complete ongoing audit and inspections to ensure compliance with internal, statutory and professional requirements.
  • Investigate and report on accidents, incidents and near misses ensuring full compliance with RIDDOR reporting.
  • Complete accident investigation on sites when required, record, and liaise with any external investigating agencies as required.
  • Ensure routine health and safety activities and checks are carried out, e.g. the review of risk assessments, carry out fire inspections and drills.
