Looking to advance your career in social care? We are seeking a dedicated Senior Practitioner to support young people with complex needs and lead a team of committed professionals.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Manager and Deputy Manager in the operational management of the staff team, ensuring efficient deployment of resources.
  • Respond to the individual needs of young people as outlined in their care plans, working in collaboration with families, social workers, and other agencies.
  • Ensure all work aligns with relevant legislation, procedures, and best practices, with a focus on safeguarding young people.
  • Oversee staff induction, supervision, appraisal, and development.
  • Monitor and review care plans to ensure they are being effectively implemented.
  • Manage administrative tasks to maintain efficient operations and support management systems.


What We're Looking For:

  • Strong understanding of the developmental needs (physical, emotional, intellectual, and social) of young people.
  • Knowledge of Child Protection procedures and experience with Social Care Services.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support team members.
  • Interpersonal skills to relate well to young people, families, and staff at all levels.
  • Ability to handle emotional stress and remain flexible in challenging situations.
