Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client, looking to expand its team of based in Birmingham. Looking for an individual who is keen on having development opportunities.
Role Requirements -
- Accounts preparation for Limited companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships.
- Providing supervision, knowledge and support to the other team members.
- Develop financial and accounting policies, workflows and methods after consultations with the director.
- Manage compliance reporting while ensuring timely filing of all statutory accounts.
- Tax computations and tax returns for Companies and Partnerships/ Sole Traders.
- Reviewing financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Reviewing Vat's returns to ensure all correct.
- Ensuring a high level of integrity for financial information, explaining variances, margins and transactions.
- Preparing quarterly management accounts for VAT registered businesses.
- Preparing personal tax return along with final accounts and dividends planning.
- Processing month-end journals.
- Identify potential areas of process improvement and working with peers and management to implement.
- Drafting the accounts and tax returns for director pre-client meeting.
- Liaise with clients and resolve accounting queries in a timely manner.
- Preparing service charge accounts.
Personal Requirements -
- Part/Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Previous experience of working in an accountancy practice.
- Preparation of statutory year end accounts and SME.
- Be a proactive and collaborative team player who can work on own initiative with limited supervision.
- The role will require excellent excel skills.
- Familiar with VT, Payroll Manager, Xero, Taxcalc and tax filer software.
