Midas Recruitment is delighted to be working with this leading Birmingham-based manufacturing company that wishes to hire an Accountant on a permanent basis. The varied, responsible role is primarily office-based, with the option to work from home one day per week, and early finish on Fridays.

What’s in it for you?

  • Salary: £35,000 to £40,000
  • Report to a high-calibre, qualified accountant, Finance Director

Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • VAT returns
  • Monthly payroll and reporting
  • Oversee the two sales and purchase ledger colleagues

Accountant Skills and Experience:

  • A keen eye for detail
  • Experience working in a similar all-round finance role in a small/medium size company
  • Strong experience in Microsoft Office, eg, Word, Excel
  • The ability to work under pressure in a busy accounts office
