We are a leading accountancy firm currently seeking a talented and motivated Accounts & Audit Senior to join our team. Your role will help strengthen our presence in Birmingham and across the UK as we provide a wide range of services to the Agricultural, Not for Profit, Education and Services industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Support partners/managers in quality client service for compliance and planning.

  • Manage ad hoc projects and assignments.

  • Review and prepare accounts, tax, and VAT work.

  • Conduct remuneration planning and supervise audits.

  • Assist with advanced audit, accounts, and tax compliance.

  • Identify client discussion points and added service opportunities.

  • Finalise client and HMRC paperwork, meeting deadlines.

  • Liaise with clients for accurate, detailed information.

  • Track job quality/productivity to meet targets.

  • Record chargeable time for maximum recovery.

  • Coach and review trainee assignments.

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification - (ACCA, ACA,) or nearing completion.

  • At least 2 years of experience in an accountancy firm.

  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.

  • Outstanding analytical and problem solving abilities.

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

  • Proficient in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
