Overview

An established organisation in the manufacturing sector has recently reached out to Mitchell Adam for assistance with their search for an Assistant Management Accountant. This organisation has recently gone through a period of sustained and has expressed their desire to expand their finance function. This organisation is located in Birmingham and their offices are easily accessible via public transport and by car. As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will be working closely with the Management Accountant. In this role you will be assisting with the production of monthly management accounts. This includes the posting of journals, reconciliation of the balance sheet and analysis of the P&L. You will also be included in the budgeting and forecasting process. This organisation has continued to grow despite external shocks such as the pandemic, and the business has not forgot their humble origins. Skills Required

  • To be either currently studying your ACCA or CIMA qualification, or to have strong ambitions to complete one of these qualifications.
  • To have a strong level of communication skills, as in this role you will be liaising with a number of internal and external stakeholders.
  • To have experience with posting journals such as accruals and prepayments and to have completed reconciliations on both the bank and balance sheet. Also to have exposure to working on the P&L.
  • To be confident and ambitious, this role has a fantastic pathway to becoming a Management Accountant if you are able to produce a high quality of work.
