Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Management Accountant to join their team in Birmingham. What you'll do:

As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in understanding the key drivers of the business and supporting improved performance. You will be responsible for delivering proactive ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision making within the business unit. Your excellent attention to detail will aid in understanding and managing financial risks and opportunities. You will also prepare key business reports and support the closing of monthly accounts. Your commitment to promoting working capital improvements will be essential in this role.

  • Business partner with key stakeholders ensuring strong commercial and operational decision making
  • Deliver proactive ad-hoc financial analysis to support business unit decision making
  • Understand and manage financial risks and opportunities arising from contract mechanisms and ongoing business performance
  • Prepare key business reporting such as month end reports, business reviews, client reports, budgets, cash analysis
  • Support closing monthly accounts ensuring sales and costs are accurately recognised
  • Promote working capital improvements through timely, accurate contract billing, active management of debt ledgers and timely resolution of queries
