- Support partners and managers in providing top-tier service to clients on compliance and planning matters.
- Manage and deliver ad hoc projects and assignments independently.
- Review and prepare client accounts, tax, or VAT work, ensuring all outputs meet required standards.
- Undertake remuneration planning and provide high-level technical audit, accounts, and taxation compliance work for corporate clients.
- Identify areas where additional services or added value can be provided, raising these with Partners.
- Ensure all client deliverables, including paperwork and reports to HMRC, are completed accurately and dispatched within deadlines.
- Proactively liaise with clients to gather necessary information, ensuring attention to detail and thorough questioning.
- Monitor and manage job quality and quantity in line with agreed budgets, aiming to exceed targets where possible.
- Record and maximise recovery of chargeable time.
- Provide on-the-job coaching and supervision to trainees, reviewing their assignments to ensure quality.
- Attend relevant courses and use support networks to enhance knowledge, particularly on complex queries.
- Review and, where necessary, prepare client tax returns, advising on payments and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Assist clients with accounting software queries, offering guidance on various platforms.
- Participate in client seminars, networking, and business generation activities under the guidance of senior team members.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and idea generation skills.
- Strong computer literacy, particularly with accounting software.
- Active listening skills with the ability to review and prepare accounts, tax, or VAT efficiently.
- Essential:Â Part Qualified ACA/ACCA.
- Desirable: Degree or equivalent experience.
- Essential: Prior accounts experience within a practice environment.
- Desirable: Experience with cloud accounting software, especially Xero.
