Corporate Tax Associate Director

Tax Advisory 

Birmingham (Hybrid role)

£65,000 - £75,000 Basic

TRIP are delighted to be working with a leading mid-tier accounting firm that specialise in Audit, Tax and Advisory services and are searching for an Associate Director based out of their Birmingham offices.

Our client has a track record of reward and promotion.   Are you stuck in a bottle-neck role still waiting for that promotion?  Or maybe you are working on the same small piece of a puzzle day in and day out and are looking for a flat hierarchical structure which allows genuine collaboration across the different departments?

Duties and responsibilities

  • Understanding the clients issues and anticipating their needs whilst also helping them to manage their risk
  • Advising a range of clients on R&D Tax relief, Patent Box Tax and transaction and restructuring concerns among other generalist advisory work.
  • Negotiating and raising fees and being responsible for WIP management on your portfolio of clients. 
  • Being an active member of and developing the wider Tax Team, ensure national procedures are rolled out and fully adopted in Birmingham.

Skills and qualifications

  • Extensive experience of working with a portfolio of clients to deliver on annual corporation tax reporting requirements.
  • ACA and CTA qualification (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrate broad and strong technical tax knowledge and experience in R&D Tax relief, Transaction Tax, Patent Box or Restructuring.
  • Broad experience of managing the financials on clients, delivering on budgets and negotiating fees with clients, and bringing on board new clients.
