- Maintain the integrity of the Bill of Materials and ensure accurate costing processes.
- Calculate annual standard/predicted costs and analyse the impact of changes on group results.
- Apply a deep understanding of costing mechanisms, implementing improvements when necessary.
- Conduct thorough monthly variance analysis, assessing its effect on margins.
- Develop robust processes and controls to capture all costs accurately as part of month-end reporting.
- Reconcile relevant balance sheet accounts monthly.
- Analyse key performance drivers within the department and across the organisation to add value.
- Assist the Financial Controller and senior management team with the production of financial reports, business planning, quarterly forecasts and supporting decision-making processes.
- Assist with ad hoc projects, providing analysis and support where required.
- Deputise for the Financial Controller and cover for Finance Managers during their absence.
- ACCA/ CIMA Qualified.
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
- Cognos / MIS knowledge and Hyperion Financial Management experience.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings effectively.
- A proactive approach to process improvements and operational efficiencies.
