This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing manufacturing business as a Credit Controller, stepping in to cover a 12-month maternity leave. In this role, you'll manage a variety of tasks, including chasing outstanding debt, maintaining key accounts, and collaborating with the sales ledger team. While this role is temporary, the company's growth means there are strong prospects for securing a permanent position during or after the contract period. This role is ideal for immediately available candidates or those on a one-week notice period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chasing outstanding debts to ensure timely payments.
  • Managing and maintaining the sales ledger, including key accounts.
  • Allocating customer payments accurately to accounts.
  • Requesting missing invoices and resolving related queries.
  • Collaborating with the sales ledger team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Preparing and presenting aged debt reports to management.
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies in accounts.
  • Supporting process improvements to enhance debt recovery efforts.

Candidate Attributes and Skills:

  • Proven experience in credit control or a similar role.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
  • Proactive and eager to work in a growing, collaborative team.
  • Immediate availability or availability within one week.
