Estimator

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will play a key role in the pre-construction phase, preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and time requirements. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with project teams, clients, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and site conditions to determine project requirements.
  • Gather and assess quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to calculate accurate costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop cost-effective solutions.
  • Monitor project costs and provide recommendations for cost control and savings.
  • Prepare bid proposals and assist in negotiations with clients and subcontractors.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, construction materials, and labour costs.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and labour costs.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Preferred:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with large-scale projects or specific sectors (e.g., commercial, residential).
