Leveraging our strong partnership with a leading national brand, we're proud to support their recruitment efforts for a Part-Qualified Financial Accountant. This exciting opportunity will allow you to join their growing and dynamic finance team based in Birmingham City Centre. The successful candidate will receive a salary of 35,000 per annum + study support and flexible working.
Ideally we are looking to appoint an individual who is actively studying, keen to qualify, possesses sound knowledge of accounting practices, someone who wants to dive into the day to day detail and very much a self starter.
This is a rewarding position which will allow the individual to take ownership of a small entity within the group including, statutory and internal reporting requirements, month end reporting, year end audit and other ad hoc reporting requests.
Financial Accountant duties:
- Take ownership of the financial accounting, reporting, management accounting and balance sheet for a small entity within the group
- Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed with supporting documentation
- Posting journals, raising and checking POs, reconciling internal systems - seeking any process improvements along the way
- Reviewing and approving payments and month end payment runs
- Supporting with cash flow forecasting
- Support with the year end audit
Successful applicants will possess the following education/ skillset:
- Be AAT qualified or working toward a recognised accountancy qualification ACCA/CIMA
- Have previous experience in a well rounded finance role
- Ability to use MS Excel
- Numerical & Analytical with high attention to detail
