Your new companyHays are delighted to be working with a high growth property and construction SME based in Birmingham city centre. With exciting plans and high growth, this is a superb opportunity to join in this newly created role. The company are based in beautiful offices and offers free parking.Your new roleThis is a newly created role reporting into an experienced FD and leading a team of circa 3. The company are about to implement a new Accountancy package in 2025 and this role will be involved in the roll-out. Other key duties are below:

  • Management and statutory reporting for the Group.
  • Company secretarial and tax planning.
  • Project management of key initiatives include systems upgrades, implementation of controls and ensuring the finance team is effective and supported.
  • Day-to-day financial stewardship including project and category cost coding, approval of payments, VAT returns and month-end reconciliations.
  • Supporting project funding activity, including project cost to complete reports.
  • Monthly / quarterly management reporting and Group cashflow forecasts.

What you'll need to succeedWe are looking for an experienced Qualified candidate who is happy to mainly be office-based and who enjoys leading a small team. This is a hands-on role and will require flexibility. The ideal candidate would have some exposure to construction or property development and CIS knowledge but this is not essential.
