Financial Controller will report directly into the CFO and form part of the senior management team, they will be responsible for financial planning, the management of the budgeting and forecasting cycles, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, financial risk management, and team leadership.

Description

  • Responsible for managing, leading and developing the finance team
  • Manage the annual budgeting process, the rolling forecast.
  • Oversee the reporting and analysis of financial information in order to provide accurate, timely and meaningful financial to support decision making across the organisation
  • Coordinate audits ensuring deadlines are met and corrective actions are implemented
  • Oversee all accounting and finance operations within the company.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's goals.
  • Manage financial risks and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve financial efficiency.
  • Participate in strategic decision-making processes.
  • Responsible for developing and realising the efficiencies of the new Microsoft Dynamics 365 system

Profile

A successful Financial Controller should have:

路 Qualified Accountant

路 Knowledge and experience of accounting standards UK (Understanding of the Charity SOP is preferred)

路 Audit management experience is essential

路 A deep understanding of accounting principles and practices

路 The ability to analyse financial data and generate insights to support decision-making

路 Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with regulations

路 The ability to lead and managing the finance team effectively

路 Clear communication with various stakeholders, including explaining complex financial concepts

路 Strategic planning and providing financial insights to support business goals

路 Strong knowledge of internal controls and ensuring compliance with financial regulations

路 Cost Management: Implementing cost control measures and monitoring financial performance

路 Familiarity with Microsoft Business Central systems to streamline processes

路 Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve financial issues efficiently

路 Experience of change management

路 Tact and diplomacy and an ability to influence at all levels
