Responsible for Group Financial Reporting, ensuring the integrity and timely completion of financial statements within a Plc environment, adhering to the latest accounting standards (IFRS). Key priorities include:Ensuring all monthly financial reporting is accurate and delivered on time.Leading the external audit process through to successful sign-off (both interim and year-end).Maintaining and regularly reviewing the integrity of the balance sheet.Supporting financial leadership with the annual budgeting process and financial performance modelling.Ensuring accurate production of monthly monitoring and reporting outputs.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Financial Reporting & Compliance:Ensure period-end management reporting, statutory accounting, and group performance monitoring align with accounting standards and market expectations.Deliver all aspects of Plc reporting and Group accounts preparation.Monitor regulatory policies and developments, providing professional accounting guidance and advice on any changes.Continuously review and enhance monthly reporting processes.Audit & External Liaison:Coordinate the external audit process, serving as the primary contact between the business and auditors.Ensure successful sign-off of both interim and year-end audits.Performance Analysis & Stakeholder Reporting:Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses for internal and external stakeholders, including HMRC.Conduct market share and competitor analysis.Financial Integrity & Monitoring:Monitor financial covenants and assist in the monthly management of cash resources.Maintain and review the accuracy and integrity of the balance sheet.Budgeting & Forecasting Support:Assist financial leadership in the annual budgeting process and performance modelling across the Group.Ensure monthly performance monitoring and reporting are accurate and timely.Process Improvement & Systems Support:Continuously assess and improve processes to enhance efficiency.Assist with major IT implementation projects as required.
