My client a large PLC based in Birmingham is looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to support them on a 9 month fixed term contract. They are looking for someone who can start within the next 2 weeks and commutable from Birmingham as they in the office 2 days per week.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Reviewing and implementing innovative ways in which to improve our month end numbers therefore improving the overall efficiency of our projects
- Analysing on a weekly basis soft closing the week in order to prepare for month end
- Playing a key role in reducing the time it takes to complete month end reporting
- Leading key projects such as year end audits and internal audit self assessments delivering exceptional deadlines and improving business performance
- Managing a junior member to ensure they have grasped an understanding of business requirements and complete deadline requirements on time.
Skills and knowledge:
- Excellent excel skills
- Strong ability to work with ERPs, specifically Navision
- Proactive
- Driven
- Problem solver - able to problem solve without prompts
