This is a 4-month fixed-term contract with the flexibility of mostly remote working. Candidates must, however, reside within a 1-hour commute of its Birmingham office to accommodate occasional onsite requirements.This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a varied environment where your attention to detail and ability to handle multiple responsibilities will be key.Your responsibilities as the General Ledger Accountant will include:

Respond to data requests and queries from internal and external auditors.
Complete tasks related to month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.
Prepare and enter ad-hoc month-end journals with accurate supporting documentation.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
Address basic VAT-related queries.
Support the manager with lease accounting requirements.
Assist in project-related activities.

To be considered for the role of General Ledger Accountant, you will:

Be a Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with experience.
Have ability to build and maintain positive working relationships and communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial colleagues across all levels of the organisation.
