Calling all Accounting and Finance Graduates - we have the role for you!!

One of our exciting clients, based in the Birmingham Business Park, near the Birmingham Airport is recruiting for a Graduate Accountant position!

This role will be joining the central finance team of this business to assist with a range of exciting tasks, including but not limited to; purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations, month end reporting and some other ad-hoc tasks. This role is a graduate role so we are open to junior options for the role but ideally to help the right person hit the ground running we are looking for someone who has gained some experience from a placement year alongside their studies.

This role is a temporary to permanent role, where the temporary aspect is more then anything a probationary period. So if you're immediately available or can be available within one week then please keep reading!

Key responsibilities:

  • Purchase ledger tasks, such as processing invoices, supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution.
  • Sales ledger tasks, such as creating invoices, chasing remittances and allocating incoming payments.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Assisting with month end reporting such as aged debtors and creditors among other reports.
  • Other ad-hoc tasks.

Candidate Attributes and Skills:

  • Have recently graduated from university with a relevant degree, ideally Accounting and Finance however other courses will be considered.
  • Have gained some experience from a placement year or voluntary experience alongside studies.
  • Be immediately available or available within a one week notice of interview.
  • Be confident on Microsoft excel, the successful person will need to use this on a daily basis so prior confidence on this is important.
