This high-profile role is ideally suited to a finance professional with a strong background in audit or group reporting, looking to make a tangible impact within a large, dynamic business.

The Role

As Group Financial Controller, you will be pivotal in leading and inspiring a large finance team, with a direct reporting line to the Finance Director. Your primary responsibility will be to drive performance improvements, identify areas for optimisation, and ensure robust financial controls and reporting are consistently maintained.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the consolidation and review of Group financial results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards
  • Leading on continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance financial efficiency
  • Providing strategic insight to the Finance Director and senior leadership team
  • Managing and mentoring a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of development and excellence

Key Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, with substantial experience in audit or group reporting
  • Proven track record in a senior finance role within a large, complex organisation (PE-backed experience advantageous)
  • Strong leadership skills with a commitment to developing a high-performing team
  • Demonstrable experience in driving change and delivering continuous improvement within a finance function
