Interim Financial Controller - Hybrid Role (Birmingham)

Our client, a prominent financial services firm based in Birmingham, is seeking an Interim Financial Controller to manage the financial accounts for three distinct entities on a monthly basis. This pivotal role will support the finance team with year-end audit preparations and ensure the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting throughout the engagement period. This is a hybrid position, offering 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Financial Director (FD), your duties will include:

  • Overseeing and managing the financial accounts for three separate entities.
  • Ensuring the accurate and timely completion of monthly financial closing processes.
  • Assisting with year-end external audit preparations, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and maintaining audit readiness.
  • Refining and enhancing technical accounting processes to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
  • Delivering comprehensive financial reporting and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Acting as a key advisor within the finance team, sharing expertise and ensuring full adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
