SF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our global clients team in North Birmingham. The successful candidate will deliver professional and effective financial accounting and control, providing high-quality reporting and analysis of monthly financial records. This role involves coordinating the budgeting and forecasting process, supporting the Finance Director with monthly management accounts, and ensuring adherence to relevant accounting and reporting standards and company policies. Key Responsibilities:

- Month-end Accounting: Review and interrogate monthly transactions, ensuring compliance with revenue and cost recognition. Make appropriate adjustments in the accounting system to accurately reflect financial performance. - Monthly Reporting: Produce monthly reporting packs detailing financial performance, including income and expenditure, balance sheet, and cash flow, with appropriate commentary on variances to budget and forecast. - Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with management, business leaders, and Group Finance to produce annual budgets and revised forecasts, reflecting projected income and expenditure in line with the 3-year business plan. - Audit: Prepare and complete the annual audit, acting as the main point of contact for audit requirements. - Cash Management: Prepare monthly/quarterly cash flow forecasts, ensuring the availability of working capital to support business operations. - Tax Matters: Assist with tax matters, including quarterly VAT returns Skills and Attributes:

- Knowledge of the logistics sector (desirable). - Excellent communication and collaborative skills. - Ability to work effectively and sensitively as part of a team. - Proactive approach, able to use own initiative, and willingness to accept responsibility. - Effective time management skills to meet accounting and reporting deadlines. - High level of attention to detail and accuracy. - Studying a Recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). - Thorough understanding of management accounting principles This role will be based 2 to 3 days a week in their office in North Birmingham with the rest of the week from home.
