An established multi-national organisation in Birmingham has recently approached Mitchell Adam for assistance with their search for a talented and ambitious Management Accountant. The role has become available due to an internal promotion and the organisation has recently renovated their modern and vibrant offices. Their offices are located in close proximity to a variety of transport hubs and have a large free on-site car park which ensures that those travelling via train, bus or car are all able to easily commute into the office. The organisation encourages a flexible hybrid working style, where individuals can start work early and finish early, or start work late and finish late, allowing staff to work around their social life and enable a strong work life balance.
As a Management Accountant, you will be involved with a variety of responsibilities within the finance function. The organisation has aims to develop their staff to positions which suits their strengths. Within the business there are potential opportunities to develop, for example If you are looking to take on business partnering responsibilities, you will be encouraged to sit in on budgeting meetings, shadow the Senior Finance Business Partner and watch them liaise with budget holders and external stakeholders. You will be taking on the production of management account packs and their related responsibilities such as working with the P&L and Balance Sheet. This role is one where your development will be encouraged and assisted, and your colleagues within the department will be on hand to help with your progression.
Skills Required
- To be confident and ambitious, this role has some fantastic progression opportunities for those who are able to produce a strong quality of work. It requires an individual with ambition to take on this challenge.
- To be able to communicate in an effective and professional manner. It is key to be able to provide your commentary in a manner which others will understand.
- To be either currently studying or to have strong ambitions to start your ACCA or CIMA qualification.
- To have a strong ability on Microsoft Excel, and to have experience with posting journals and completing reconciliations. Alongside producing management account packs.
