Your new companyYou will be working for an independent school in Birmingham who provide a strong education allowing young people to fulfil their potential for children from 2 years - 18 years old.The role will be reporting to the Schools Business ManagerYour new roleTo support the Business Manager and be responsible for efficient and accurate preparation and presentation of financial records and management information.Duties and Responsibilities1. Prepare Statutory Financial Statements, including profit and loss and balance sheet accounts2. Produce termly management accounts3. Produce quarterly VAT returns4. Compile accruals and prepayment schedules5. Produce annual cash flow forecast and update monthly6. Reconcile all accounts in FMS ensuring completion of journals and adequate record keeping by responsible team members7. Assist with the production of annual budgets8. Complete and reconcile monthly bank reconciliations9. Reconcile payroll accounts and carry out journal input as required10. Carry out month end and year end processes in SIMS and FMS11. Maintain deposits spreadsheet12. Maintain school asset register13. Assist with producing financial commentaries as required14. Attend and present at Finance Committee meetings as required15. Monitor and evaluate financial information systems and make recommendations for improvements16.
