Responsibilities
  • Manage a significant personal tax portfolio, including monitoring commercial aspects of portfolio management.
  • Preparation and review of tax returns.
  • Oversee junior tax accountants, including workflow management, reviewing work, and providing training.
  • Undertake various personal tax assignments, including complex issues and supporting with advisory work.
  • Deliver tax planning and guidance to clients on a wide range of personal tax matters.
  • Build trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem solving.
  • Work directly with senior team members to ensure expectations, deadlines, and budgets are being met across your portfolio.
  • Champion professional development, regularly undertaking training opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider tax team, utilising resource effectively to maximise client service.
  • Research and interpret updates to corporate taxation news and regulations.
  • Support business development by identifying new service lines for your portfolio.

The Successful Applicant
  • ACCA / ACA part qualified, or CTA / ATT.
  • Previous experience in a personal or mixed tax role in UK practice.
  • An all-rounder skillset across compliance. Advisory experience is desired by not essential.
  • Strong IT skills and knowledge.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to lead a team and project manage, including decision-making, time management and prioritisation.
