RM Recruit are working with a sizable Housing Association to recruit Interim Project Accountant for their team. This role will have a duration of 9 months and has remote working in place.

Our client is seeking an established Service Charges Finance contractor to lead a high-profile project team that is focusing on scheme rationalisation, coding correction and the calculation of new charges. This role will see you working closely with Directors, Senior Stakeholders, and budget holders to deliver crucial information, analysis, and insights on how new charges impact both customers and the association as a whole. Your work in leading the project will be key in supporting the organisation to make informed decisions to shape and drive overall strategy.

Your remit will include, but not be limited to:

  • Provide relevant information, analysis and insight to senior managers and budget holders in order that project outcomes can be achieved.
  • Supporting budget holders to enable accurate rationalisation of schemes to enable recalculation of costs and resetting of charges.
  • Weekly reporting project progress through the duration of the project
  • Supporting the management of the Service Charge finance team
  • Developing KPI’s to encourage performance improvements in order to achieve project outcomes.
  • Assisting with the preparation of the budget, in connection with new charges being set and reforecasting future income taking into account implementation timings of new charges.
  • Provide any necessary information and support to the Reporting team to enable accurate reporting.

We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate experience within a large, complex organisation with substantial budgets. Experience of Service Charges within housing is highly desirable as well as business partnering acumen.
