Key Responsibilities:

As a Project Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the financial success of multiple projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and monitoring project budgets, ensuring accurate cost tracking and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conducting variance analysis to identify and explain deviations from budgets and forecasts.
  • Partnering with project managers and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Preparing monthly project financial reports, including cash flow forecasts and profitability analysis.
  • Monitoring and managing project-related risks, providing recommendations to mitigate financial exposure.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, contractual terms, and relevant accounting standards.
  • Supporting the month-end process, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries specific to project activity.
What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience as a Project Accountant or in a similar role, ideally within the automotive or manufacturing sector.
  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with strong technical and commercial accounting skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
