About Us:My client specialises in delivering large-scale, high-value construction projects that shape communities and businesses. We are looking for a skilled and proactive Project Accountant to join our finance team and support the financial management of our most significant projects. With a reputation for excellence, our projects span commercial and infrastructure sectors, offering dynamic challenges and immense professional growth.

What You'll Do:Financial Management: Oversee project budgets, cash flow, and forecasts, ensuring projects stay within financial targets.Cost Control: Track and manage costs, identify discrepancies, and implement solutions to maintain financial accuracy.Reporting: Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including variance analysis, to senior management and stakeholders.Contract Management: Review and negotiate contracts, manage subcontractor invoicing, and ensure compliance with project terms.Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure financial control and project success.Audit and Compliance: Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.

Key Skills & Experience:Proven experience as a Project Accountant in the construction industry, ideally on high-value projects in excess of £100m.Strong understanding of construction finance, contracts, and project cost management.Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.Relevant qualifications such as ACCA/ACA/ACMA
