Your new roleAs an R&D Tax Manager, your main duties will include developing claim methodologies, and preparing R&D tax relief claims for submission to the HMRC. You will be working very closely with existing and new/potential clients, being their main point of contact for all R&D Tax queries and contacting HMRC and their behalf. The firm will also expect you to write technical descriptions of client's projects, while preparing documentation to support R&D claims, based on UK BIS guidelines, and reviewing work completed by the junior staff within your team.

What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this role, you will have strong technical knowledge of the UK's R&D tax and experience in the preparation of R&D claims. The successful candidate will also have a clear and concise writing style with experience of responding to HMRC queries. Meanwhile, the ideal candidate will also have computer science/similar degree and possess some previous experience of working within the software or IT industry.
