This is a fantastic opportunity for a forward-thinking professional to work in a supportive and innovative environment.The Opportunity: The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA-qualified with a minimum of 5 years of experience in UK practice. You will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from small businesses to SMEs with turnovers between £1 million and £10 million, providing high-quality accountancy and advisory services.Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of statutory year-end accounts for Limited Companies, Sole Traders, and Partnerships.
  • Preparation and submission of CT600s, personal tax returns, and handling issues related to Capital Gains and domestic rental properties.
  • Managing HMRC enquiries and compliance checks with a high level of professionalism.
  • Maintaining and applying high accounting standards and industry-specific knowledge.
  • Reviewing and mentoring junior team members, ensuring the accuracy and quality of their work.
  • Providing insightful tax advisory services to clients (experience in this area is preferable).
  • Producing detailed analysis and reports for client meetings.
  • Handling day-to-day client enquiries and building strong, client-facing relationships.
What We're Looking For:
  • ACA or ACCA qualification is essential.
  • A minimum of 5 years of strong UK practice experience.
  • Experience with SME businesses with turnovers ranging from £1 million to £10 million.
  • Confident in preparing statutory accounts, tax returns, and managing HMRC interactions.
  • Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Experience in a tax advisory role is a plus.
  • A proactive, forward-thinking attitude and a commitment to excellence.
