Are you a skilled and motivated accountant with experience in contract management? We're looking for a Senior Contract Accountant to join our growing team in Birmingham on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the financial management of multiple contracts from start to completion.
  • Prepare, monitor, and review budgets and forecasts for contracts.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closing processes related to contracts.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of contract revenue, costs, and profitability.
  • Liaise with project managers and stakeholders to ensure financial compliance and transparency.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for senior management.
  • Review and manage contract costs and work to optimize financial performance.
  • Provide financial analysis and support for decision-making on contracts and projects.
  • Identify and address any financial risks associated with contracts.
Key Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in contract accounting or a similar finance role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and contract management.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
