We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our small team of accountancy professionals based in Sutton Coldfield. This role involves a broad range of accounting activities for a diverse portfolio of clients. Ideal for a qualified or part-qualified accountant, or someone qualified by experience (QBE), this position offers the opportunity to manage varied client accounts, take on greater responsibilities, and contribute to the growth of our practice.
Day-to-day of the role:- Manage workload effectively to meet tight deadlines.
- Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts ready for board meetings.
- Handle client onboarding, professional clearance, and money laundering checks.
- Prepare year-end accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies ready for partner review.
- Prepare corporation tax and self-assessment for small and medium-sized enterprises ready for partner review.
- Conduct bookkeeping tasks.
- Register, complete, and file VAT Returns for standing rate, cash accounting, flat rate, and margin scheme.
- Handle company registrations.
- Proficiency in using IRIS, SAGE, and Excel.
