The role of a Senior Bookkeeper is critical in ensuring all financial transactions are accurate and up to date, playing a vital role within the Accounting & Finance department of our client's leisure, travel and tourism business.

Description
- Handle full spectrum of financial and cost accounting role
- Manage and maintain finances for various businesses, ensuring accurate data input into accounting software
- Issue and pay invoices, and create detailed financial reports for managers and owners (weekly and monthly).
- Oversee cash flow management, financial forecasts, budgeting, and expense tracking
- Conduct cost reviews for budget control, identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
- Prepare profit and loss statements for month-end and year-end
- Responsible for VAT returns, payroll management, and issuing payslips.
- Review financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports
Profile
A successful Senior Bookkeeper should have:
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of relevant accounting software
