Due to expansion and internal progression, we are working exclusively on a brilliant position for an ACA or ACCA qualified Accountant to join a leading business as a Senior Financial Controller reporting directly into the Finance Director. The position is based in Birmingham City Centre with a hybrid working model.

You will be part of an ambitious SLT who are always looking to progress and push the business forward into different areas of the market. As the Senior Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting business growth and looking after a capable team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare management, annual and departmental accounts with added commentary to the Finance Director.
  • Be confident in managing stakeholders who aren’t from a finance background.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and drive efficiencies.
  • Improve the financial reporting process and identify key drivers for business decisions.

Key requirements:

  • Post-qualified (ACA, ACCA) with relevant industry experience.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, ideally within a high growth business.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate to other areas of the business.
