Churchill Howard are working exclusively with this prestigious listed Global Brand to recruit an Internal Audit Manager.We are looking for an experienced Internal Auditor to join as the sole Internal Audit representative. Reporting to the Assurance Director and the Chair of the Risk and Audit Committee, this role plays a key part in the company's third line of defence within the assurance model. The position offers potential for growth, including the possibility of managing additional team members as demand for internal audit services increases. The role also involves regular reporting to the R & A Committee, Operations Board, and other governance bodies, and working closely with the Professional Regulation and Standards team to deliver the audit plan.This is an exciting opportunity to lead and deliver the Internal Audit function at a leading organisation. This role is responsible for providing assurance over internal systems and controls in alignment with legal, financial, and regulatory obligations, as well as quality standards accreditation. It also gives the opportunity to shape and build the function from a solid starting point.The successful candidate will manage the development and execution of the internal audit plan, oversee audits across multiple sites, and work closely with senior stakeholders to drive improvements and ensure compliance.Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute an annual internal audit plan, in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
- Conduct planned and ad-hoc audits across legal and professional services functions using a risk-based approach.
- Prepare and present audit findings, recommendations, and reports to senior decision-makers, committees, and stakeholders.
- Attend and present at Risk and Audit Committee meetings.
- Support relevant accreditation and ad-hoc audit requests from internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the implementation of relevant ISO standards and ensure audits are in line with these standards.
- Provide audit advice and support to the Professional Regulation and Standards (PRS) team, including AML reporting obligations.
- Continuously improve audit processes and support the enhancement of policies and procedures based on audit findings.
- Work alongside the PRS and Learning and Development teams to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
