Senior Management AccountantLocation: Selly Oak, BirminghamPay Rate: £21.69 - £25.37 per hourWorking Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to FridayWe are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established Hospice, for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic finance team, providing key financial support and advice to senior management and budget holders, while ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient resource management.Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial information, adhering to Hospice procedures and timetables.
  • Provide complex financial analysis and advice to senior leaders, budget holders, and teams.
  • Support the Deputy Director of Finance with monthly and annual budget reports.
  • Produce detailed income and expenditure accounts, ensuring data integrity.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
  • Manage the fixed asset register and report on capital expenditure.
  • Offer training and support to financial colleagues, ensuring effective financial management across the Hospice.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • CCAB Qualified or equivalent, or qualified by experience.
  • Significant experience in an accountancy role within commercial, public sector, or charitable environments.
  • Strong experience in financial reporting, budget preparation, and cost analysis.
  • Proficiency with financial software, including Excel, Access, and Crystal Reports.
  • Ability to analyse complex financial data and communicate findings clearly.
  • Previous experience working closely with senior management and contributing to decision-making.
