- Ensure accurate and timely financial information, adhering to Hospice procedures and timetables.
- Provide complex financial analysis and advice to senior leaders, budget holders, and teams.
- Support the Deputy Director of Finance with monthly and annual budget reports.
- Produce detailed income and expenditure accounts, ensuring data integrity.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying trends and variances.
- Manage the fixed asset register and report on capital expenditure.
- Offer training and support to financial colleagues, ensuring effective financial management across the Hospice.
- CCAB Qualified or equivalent, or qualified by experience.
- Significant experience in an accountancy role within commercial, public sector, or charitable environments.
- Strong experience in financial reporting, budget preparation, and cost analysis.
- Proficiency with financial software, including Excel, Access, and Crystal Reports.
- Ability to analyse complex financial data and communicate findings clearly.
- Previous experience working closely with senior management and contributing to decision-making.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership and team-working abilities.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
