Alexander Daniels is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a Birmingham-based business on a full-time, permanent basis. This role provides exceptional exposure within a growing company. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, you will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience and training in an expanding business.
Daily tasks will include:
- Maintaining the Sales and Purchase Ledger.
- Preparing weekly payment runs.
- Bank reconciliation.
- Preparing and posting journals.
- Additional ad hoc tasks.
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 2 years experience in similar role.
- Studing AAT.
- Strong communication skills and good telephone manner.
- Ability to prioritise and plan workload.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of VAT returns.
- Good Excel and Analytical skills.
- A can-do positive approach to work with a willingness to learn.
The successful candidate will be joining a friendly, established business and will benefit from a competitive salary up to £25,000 - £26,000 per annum.
