About the Business
An opportunity to be an Accounts Assistant for a service business based in Birmingham. The company has been operating for 18 years and has over 450 employees based around six hubs across the UK. This role is super flexible with 1 day in the office and flexible start and finish times!
Main Duties:
As an Accounts Assistant, your main duties include:
- Delivering accurate and timely completion of ledgers to meet monthly deadlines
- Raising invoices to customers on a timely basis
- Ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time
- Accurately allocating accounts with all daily cash received
- Maintaining a complete audit trail for all processes carried out
- Assisting the department in any ad-hoc queries or projects that arise
- Dealing with email queries from customers or suppliers
- Provision of important information to key stakeholders around the business
- Presenting recommendations on process management to improve the efficiency and output of the department
Location / Office / Culture
The role is based at the company’s Birmingham offices and offers 1 day a week in the office.

- Intermediate computer knowledge, including pivot tables and lookup formulas
