This Assistant Accountant role is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a direction driven by your own interests. You’ll be part of a supportive team within the Financial Accounting team, contributing to significant projects like the transition to Oracle and more.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, and quarterly forecasts.
  • Prepare month-end journals and review and enter exchange rates and project rates.
  • Assist with the monthly inter-company reconciliation process and liaise with over 80 overseas entities.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve invoicing queries to ensure timely payments.
  • Raise intercompany invoices and payment requests for intercompany payments.
  • Support the preparation of Corporation Tax packs for 15 statutory companies.
  • Assist with annual transfer pricing invoices and provide data to auditors via Deloitte Connect.
  • Support other teams, including Corporate Accounting and Statutory Reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Part-qualified in a recognised professional accountancy qualification.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
  • Experience with an accounting software package, preferably Oracle.
