Overview

Our homename client based in south Birmingham, is currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join the team. This distribution giant has been successing itself year on year, expanding their core offering, and adapting to their riveting sector as it continues to develop. Due to tremendous growth in a specific team managing internal technology, we are looking for a motivated Assistant Accountant to apply their commercial acumen and assist with the analysis for a number of non financial staekholders.

You will be joining a small facet of the much larger accounts team, working alongside a number of other motivated analysts. Your position will expose you to high volumes of data, as you clean this up and interpret your variance and findings, in order to assist in the production of month end management accounts, from reconciling accruals, prepayments and balance sheets, and deep P&L insights.

Skills needed

  • You will have previously created accruals and prepayments, and have an understanding of balance sheets/P&L.
  • Be a confident and articulate individual, as you will be partnering with business leaders from multiple departments.
  • Have a great skill-set on excel as a base, as you will be using this to interpret high volumes of data.
  • Ideally, you will have exposure in a large business.
