We are recruiting for a, experienced Part Time Bookkeeper for our client based in the Great Barr area. This is a fantastic and flexible role, working in a relaxed and friendly environment.Salary - up to £24,000Hours - 24 hours per week (flexible for the right person, but must include Monday)Benefits include - Flexible hours to suit the company and candidate, workplace pension with 3% contribution from employer. Will be increased to 5% after 2 years employment., hot drinks and lunch provided free of charge.Main duties:

  • Recording income and expenditure using the Sage system, using nominal codes.
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Running payroll via Sage - weekly and monthly paid staff.
  • Working alongside the Office Manager, Course Manager, Bar Manager and Club Professional, who will assist with recording income and expenditure.
  • Submitting end of year figures to the Chartered Accountants who generate annual accounts.
  • Working alongside the Finance Committee (made up of 3 Directors).
  • Generating monthly income and expenditure reports from Sage.
  • Setting up invoice payments
  • Working with in house system that links to Sage and records subscription and other income from members - in house training will be provided.

Requirements:

  • Previous bookkeeping experience within a small to medium sized business.
  • Experience of using Sage Accounts and Sage Payroll.
  • AAT qualified as a minimum.
  • Flexibility to attend team meetings.
