Your new companyDue to the partnership between Hays and Birmingham City Council, we are looking to recruit a Business Support Officer to join the Schools Admissions team. Being the largest leading local authority in the whole of Europe, Birmingham City Council are renowned for their expertise in public services and endless opportunities. Birmingham City Council provides the city's residents with a number of services to ensure stability within citizens' daily lives.Your new roleAs a Business Support Officer, you will be supporting the team by monitoring a mailbox which can be responding to emails, flagging and redirecting any emails. You will also be responsible for the management of the portal used by the team this includes the setting up of new accounts, closing inactive accounts and running reports for sessions conducted on the portal. Furthermore, you will be required to update systems and spreadsheets by accurately entering data. As the job is part of the school's admissions team, you will be processing a variety of applications.What you'll need to succeedYou will need experience of working in a busy administrative environment where you can prioritise your workload. In addition, you will need to demonstrate exceptional organisational skills to ensure enquiries are responded to in a timely manner. It is also important to have great attention to detail for this job.In addition, this role will be an ASAP start,. Before starting, you will need to pass your reference and compliance checks. This is a three-month contract but may be open to extension.
