We are recruiting 2 x Customs Data Entry/Administration Clerks for our worldwide logistics customer in Erdington, Birmingham.This is a temp - perm opportunity working with one of the worlds largest organizations.Rate of Pay:£24,000 - £25,000pa + 22.5% shift allowance (£29,400 - £30,625pa)paid hourlyHours of work*:Week 1 - 0600-1400Week 2 - 0800-1600Week 3 - 0900-1700Week 4 - 1000-1800Week 5 - 1200-2000Week 6 - 0800-1600 (Tuesday to Saturday)* this is a general view of the working hours so a degree of flexibility is required.Days of work:Monday to FridayDuties:
  • Checking and Filing customs paperwork for EU & UK.
  • Creating and requesting relevant customs clearance documentation.
  • Managing numerous mailboxes between Carriers and Vendors.
  • Ensuring all shipments have the correct and necessary documents to be able to cross.
  • Dealing with any discrepancies and misalignments that might arise
Required:
  • A stable and consistent work history
  • Office working experience
  • Strong communication skills (written and spoken)
  • High standard of attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Ability to work ALL shifts detailed above
  • Clear criminal record
  • You may be required to take a Drug and Alcohol Test
