This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing services business based in the Birmingham City Centre as a Business Support Assistant. Initially covering maternity leave for nine months, the business anticipates opportunities for a permanent position due to ongoing expansion.

As the key connection between multiple department heads, you'll play a crucial role in managing diaries, organising meetings, coordinating events, and handling communications. This role is ideal for someone with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing comprehensive inbox and diary management for department heads.
  • Organising internal and external meetings, including venue arrangements and documentation distribution.
  • Coordinating UK and international travel, preparing itineraries to maximise efficiency.
  • Supporting sales missions, external events, and key projects in collaboration with the PMO and Events teams.
  • Handling expenses, purchase orders, and budget tracking for department heads and the wider team.
  • Producing high-quality reports, presentations, and correspondence.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders and maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Assisting with CRM data management and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Deputising for Executive Assistants when required, supporting senior leadership.
  • Providing secretariat support for leadership meetings, including agenda coordination and action tracking.

Candidate Attributes and Skills:

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, confident liaising with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, adaptable environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
