The Role

Do you have a background in clinical trials research, perhaps as a Research Nurse, Research Technician, or are you a Nurse with a strong interest in research? Are you ready to play a vital role in shaping participant-focused clinical trials? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are a full-service UK clinical trial site, providing virtual and decentralised clinical trial services, looking to appoint a mobile research nurse and/or research technician to our growing team.

You will join the innovative team at VCTC, supporting clinical studies across multiple specialities. This position involves travelling to our pop-up research clinics, predominantly located around the Midlands, ensuring all protocol-mandated activities are performed seamlessly.

Reporting to the Clinical Trial Site Manager, you will oversee participant visits, perform study related procedures and contribute to the smooth running of each clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing participant clinic visits, including dispensing Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs).
  • Performing study related procedures such as vital signs, ECGs, collection of blood samples, in accordance with ICH-GCP
  • Overseeing laboratory processes during clinics.
  • Managing the transport of IMPs, blood samples, and equipment to and from clinic sites.
  • Document adverse events and liaise with the Principal Investigator to provide appropriate action
  • Ensure compliance to the protocol and standard operating procedures within the clinic
  • Ensure data is collected to a high quality in accordance with GCP standards
  • To ensure the patients health and welfare is a priority
  • Depending on experience, leading the management of the clinic daily schedule to ensure all patient visits are completed effectively and are suitably resourced.

 Essential:

  • A positive mindset and can-do attitude to clinical delivery and first-class patient experience
  • Experience in a healthcare setting (e.g., Research Technician, Nursing Assistant, Registered Nurse)
  • Experience of working autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Highly effective communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good written and analytical skills
  • Able to work autonomously and manage own workload
  • Demonstrable IT Skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

  • Clinical skills such as phlebotomy, taking ECGs.
  • Registered Nurse
  • Knowledge of the clinical trial process
  • Knowledge of ICH-GCP
