Role Profile:

Cast UK are supporting a leading distribution business in Birmingham is seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimise their day-to-day operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in logistics, supply chain management, or distribution operations to drive efficiency and operational excellence within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Lead, manage, and inspire a team to ensure smooth daily operations within the distribution centre, meeting productivity and efficiency targets.
  • Process Optimisation: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline workflows.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes to ensure accurate and timely stock management and fulfillment.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards to create a safe working environment.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Maintain a high standard of service for both internal and external customers, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control: Manage the operational budget and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement, leading projects aimed at enhancing operational performance.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven Experience: Solid experience in an operations management role, ideally within a distribution, logistics, or supply chain environment.
