Building Physics Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary consultancy who provide expert engineering and sustainability services to ensure their various projects achieve Net Zero. They are on the lookout for an intermediate Building Physics Engineer to hit the ground running for their sustainability team based in Birmingham.

Key responsibilities for a Building Physics Engineer include:

  • Use IES-VE software to carry out thermal comfort, overheating, and operational energy analysis to optimise building performance of construction projects
  • Produce Part O assessments in accordance with CIBSE TM52 and TM59 guidelines
  • Undertake site visits and produce EPCs for commercial projects
  • Produce general energy and sustainability statements and reports.

The ideal Building Physics Engineer:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a relevant engineering role within the built environment industry
  • Relevant degree within a sustainability, engineering, or architectural discipline
  • Proficient with industry standard software such as IES-VE
  • Experience delivering EPCs for commercial projects
  • Having a NDEA qualification would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
