Electrical Field Service Engineer (Permanent) OTE £100,000

KO2's client is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Electrical Field Service Engineer to join their growing team. This is a permanent position offering competitive pay between £20 - £25 per hour with a 20% uplift for UK-based on-site work, and 50% uplift for international assignments. There is the opportunity to travel both within the UK and internationally. Although business role is based in Bradford, the Electrical Field Service Engineer can be based anywhere in the UK and must be prepared to mobilise to site at short notice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As an Electrical Field Service Engineer, you will be required to travel globally, including work in the UK, Middle East, and Azerbaijan.
  • Mobilise to site to collect equipment and documents, and then travel to carry out work on electrical systems across various sectors, with a strong focus on Oil & Gas, including offshore North Sea operations.
  • Perform schematic reading, wiring modifications, and electrical testing to ensure systems are operational and meet required standards.
  • Lead and drive projects to completion, taking ownership of tasks and ensuring high-quality results.
  • Commission electrical systems, make wiring modifications, and oversee the testing and handover of completed installations.
  • Work independently, as the sole representative of KO2's client on-site, managing your time and tasks effectively without being directly supervised.
  • Ensure key components such as protection devices and ACBs are correctly identified and managed.

Requirements:

  • Must be a UK citizen.
  • Highly motivated and technically excellent, with the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Proven experience as an Electrical Field Service Engineer, with the capability to troubleshoot, modify, and test electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical protection devices and their applications in sectors like Oil & Gas.
  • Willingness to travel both within the UK and internationally (up to 3-4 weeks at a time, working 12-hour days offshore).
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently, driving projects from start to finish.
  • Excellent communication skills, as you will be the sole representative of KO2's client on-site.

  • 80% expectation to be on site which can translate to earnings of £100,000
  • Time and a half pay for overseas work.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Work remotely from home when not on-site, but must be able to report to Bradford at short notice.
  • Opportunity to travel globally, including the Middle East and Azerbaijan, with work ranging from 3-4 weeks at a time.
