Your new companyYou will be joining an established multi-utility contractor based in the Birmingham area. This multi-accredited main contractor specialises in delivering infrastructure solutions across the water, gas and power sectors, and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. With an ongoing series of contracts as well as a major framework win, they are looking to onboard a Senior Estimator to join their team.

This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Birmingham office.Your new roleAs Senior Estimator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out take-offs and preparing tender submissions
  • Building up rates for labour, plant, material and subcontract from first principles
  • Ensuring all tender deliverables are met within defined timescales
  • Understanding contract requirements, specifications, obligations, roles and responsibilities
  • Ensuring tenders make sufficient allowance for health and safety issues and reflect realistic programmes for the delivery of the project
  • Liaising with key internal and external project stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you must have:

  • Previous estimating experience in the utilities (gas, water and/or power) industry
  • Proven track record of successful bidding and securing projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence.
